Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Charges Walhalla Man With Attempted Murder

(Seneca, SC)——————————The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Walhalla man on one count each of Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon During Commission of a Violent Crime. 49 year old Randy Lewis McJunkin was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on Wednesday. According to a press release, deputies responded to an address on Westminster Highway late Tuesday evening in response to a reported shooting. Deputies found the victim in the shooting with a single gunshot wound to the neck. The shooting reportedly stemmed from an ongoing argument the victim was having with McJunkin’s daughter. The victim was airlifted from the scene. McJunkin’s was given a combined $75,000 surety bond on both charges.
