The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into a quantity of narcotics that was discovered on New Year’s Eve of last year in an office suite at the Oconee County Administrative Complex on South Pine Street in Walhalla.

The Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Oconee County Administration and the Sheriff’s Office sent the substance found to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division for testing and analysis. Last Thursday, Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw was notified that the substance tested was positive for marijuana.
