Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Given Approval To Apply For Federal Grant

(Seneca, SC)———-Oconee County Council has given their approval to allow the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office to apply for a federal grant for a four officer traffic enforcement team. The non-matching grant is around $529,000 and the cost covers officer salaries, vehicles and training. The vote process is actually two parts, with the first part an approval of submission and if the grant is approved, it will come back on the agenda for approval by County Council.
