Oconee Habitat for Humanity Wins Top Prize in Duke World of Energy Tree Festival
In the Duke World of Energy’s 13th Festival of Trees, Oconee Habitat for Humanity’s entry—decorated by a local family—was judged the overall best among 23 trees, earning a $2,500 donation from Duke Energy to support Habitat’s mission of providing shelter to those in need. The Pilot Club of Seneca placed second and received $1,500. As part of the event, guests donated hundreds of canned goods and personal hygiene items, which will be distributed to local programs.
