Oconee Humane Society expanding Event

The Seneca Animal Hospital is joining the Oconee Humane Society and Oconee County Animal Control to help pets start the New Year off right by offering $10 rabies shots to the first 50 pets during a Saturday, Jan. 13, event at the animal shelter at 1925 Sandifer Boulevard in Seneca. The event runs from 10am to 3pm and will also offer $20 microchipping for all pets and $25 spay and neuter vouchers, which are normally $75-85. The spay and neuter vouchers are good for six months and can be redeemed at one of six local veterinarians. People wanting to take advantage of the low-cost rabies shot or microchipping should bring their pet on a leash or in a carrier. Pets do not need to be present to purchase the spay and neuter vouchers. There will be plenty of pet and people snacks throughout the day. For more information, visit www.oconeehumane.org.
