Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority Rescinds Discharge Permit for Thornwell Village/Target Shopping Center Project

The Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority (JRSA) announced yesterday that it has rescinded the discharge permit for the Thornwell Village/Target shopping center project on Sandifer Boulevard. Chris Eleazer, JRSA executive director, stated that the developer’s failure to pay the required fee by last Friday’s deadline prompted his office to notify the state Department of Environmental Services (DES) yesterday morning. Effective November 21, the previously granted permit to discharge to the treatment plant is rescinded.
