Oconee Library System Begins Process of Returning to Normal

On Tuesday, the Oconee County Public Library system began allowing patrons to pick up items that had been on placed on hold prior to the statewide shutdown due to coronavirus. In all, more than 700 items had been on hold for area residents, with 120 items at just the Walhalla branch. While no date has been set for the library to reopen for the public to come inside, Director Blair Hinson said that they are very close to finalizing a date and will make that announcement when it’s determined.
