Oconee Sheriff Mike Crenshaw Introduces Traffic Safety Public Service Announcement from Toby Keith

Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw today announced the release of a traffic safety public service announcement with multi-platinum, award winning country music performer Toby Keith. The PSA was created with support and funding through a cooperative agreement with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The NSA has distributed the PSA to 1900 TV outlets and radio stations across the country. Sheriff Crenshaw encourages our media partners to air this PSA on their various platforms because traffic safety is important to every community.

“The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is grateful to be partnering with the National Sheriff’s Association in regards to this traffic PSA, and we will be sharing this video on some of our Sheriff’s Office social media sites,” says Sheriff Crenshaw. “In 2020, the Sheriff’s Office conducted 3,593 traffic stops and wrote 2,634 Uniform Citations. Plus, our Traffic Enforcement Officer, Corporal Irvin Reyes, and our Pro-Active Criminal Enforcement (P.A.C.E.) team patrols in areas where we have received complaints of increased criminal activity, which includes complaints of traffic violations. The Sheriff’s Office is committed to helping to keep the roadways safe in Oconee County as we work with our law enforcement partners in the county.”
