OCPL Adult Summer Reading Program

The Oconee County Public Library will be hosting its 4th annual Adult Summer Reading program that runs concurrently with the children’s and teen programs. Adult Summer Reading coordinator and Westminster Branch manager Leah Price says, “At the OCPL, we want reading to be a whole family affair. We believe that age is not a limit to having fun and enjoying the rewards of reading.” The  “Groundbreaking Reads” summer reading programs start June 3rd and runs through August 3rd. Participants can start registering on June 3rd. When adults sign up for the program they will receive a free reusable cloth OCPL book bag in red or blue, a Groundbreaking Reads bookmark, and a bingo reading sheet with instruction on how the reading portion of the program works. Whether you participate in the reading program or not, the library has a lot of fun, informative, and free events planned for adults. No matter where you live in Oconee County, there is something happening at your local branch in Walhalla, Salem, Seneca, and Westminster.  Price goes on to say, “Everything we do, every program we have, every item we have for checkout, is for you, the customer. We hope you find these programs interesting, entertaining, educational, and worthwhile. More importantly, we hope you attend any or all of these programs.” For dates, times, and locations pick up a calendar of events for all summer programs at your local branch or at our online branch at www1.youseemore.com/oconee.
