OCPL celebrates National Library Card Signup Month

The American Library Association has always designated September as “library card sign-up month”.  This year, the Oconee County Public Library will celebrate by offering patrons some incentives to get a library card or refer a friend to come get a library card.  Oconee County Public Library Publicity Director and Seneca Branch Manager Blair Hinson gives details.  “During the entire month of September, if a new patron 12 years or older registers for a library card he or she will be entered into a drawing for a free Kindle.  If any patron, regardless of age, wants a replacement card during the month of September then the library will waive the usual $2 charge.  Another incentive is if a new patron gets a library card and they say a friend referred them, the library will enter that friend in the drawing for the Kindle as well.” For more information about this and all of the programs at the Oconee County Public Library, visit www1.youseemore.com/oconee.
