OHC announces Winners of the Celebrate Oconee Photo Contest

The Oconee Heritage Center (OHC) announces the winners of the Celebrate Oconee Photo Contest, tells Assistant Curator Jennifer Moss. “Entrants were asked to submit photos that exhibit the character of Oconee County in three categories: People, Natural Beauty, and Historic Places. The public was invited to vote for their favorite photo in the People’s Choice Award category through OHC’s Facebook page and on exhibit at the OHC. The winner in the Historic Places category is Steeple and Moon by David DeVoe, in the People category Jocassee Morning by Gena Turpin, in the Natural Beauty category Oconee Bells by Russell Carlson and in People’s Choice Award winner is Autumn Splendor by Tonya Collins.” The winner in each category receives a monetary prize as well as an Oconee County prize pack. Photographs will be on display through October at the OHC, which is located at 123 Brown’s Square Drive in Walhalla.
