OHC celebrates 9th Birthday with Gala

On Saturday, November 2 from 6pm until 9pm, the Oconee Heritage Center (OHC) will celebrate 9 years of preserving and interpreting Oconee County’s rich history and heritage with the ninth annual Harvest Moon Gala “Moonshine & Moonlight” at the Blue Ridge Shrine Club in Seneca.  Guests will enjoy live music from Nitrograss, featuring two-time world champion banjo player Charles Wood, heavy hors d’ouevres, complimentary beer and wine, and moonshine samples by Dark Corner Distillery.  A silent auction featuring many items from businesses all across Oconee County will also be held. Tickets to the Harvest Moon Gala are on sale now.  Oconee Heritage Center members pay only $30 each and non-members pay $35 each.  Tables of six can be reserved for $175.  R.S.V.P. to the Oconee Heritage Center by calling 864-638-2224 or visiting the Oconee Heritage Center at 123 Brown’s Square Drive, Walhalla, during regular business hours Thursday and  Friday from noon until 6pm and Saturday 10am until 3pm.  All proceeds will help fund OHC operational costs, special projects, educational programming, and community events.
