OHC to host Pokémon Go Walhalla Walk

The Oconee Heritage Center (OHC) is capitalizing on the popularity of the Pokémon Go game to teach the history of the City of Walhalla, explains Jennifer Moss, assistant curator and education specialist. “Since all the rage about Pokémon Go, Walhalla is fortunate enough to have some stops and some other things related with the game so we thought we would come together, have some fun, and learn a little bit of history while we played Pokémon. We will be touring downtown Walhalla, stopping at some of the more historic spots in Walhalla, playing the game while we do it and then we will have some cool gym battles and some prizes, so it’s going to be a fun night.” The Pokémon Go Walhalla Walk takes place this Thursday, Aug. 4, at 6:30pm. Everyone is invited to meet at the OHC, which is located at 123 Brown’s Square Drive in Walhalla. All ages are welcome to come play.
