OJRSA Manages Wastewater Systems and Repairs Amid Flooding
The OJRSA continues to manage wastewater treatment and storage following recent flooding. Due to potential contamination, residents and pets should avoid contact with local creeks and waterbodies. Customers should report any wastewater overflows to the OJRSA. The Coneross Creek Water Reclamation Facility is operating with minor issues, and stored flow is being treated gradually. The Duck Pond Pump Station has been reactivated to address a sanitary sewer overflow. Repairs to damaged manhole structures will be conducted once the area dries. Two pump stations remain without power, and alternative measures are being implemented. Oconee County has provided generator fuel, and the OJRSA is hopeful for continued progress in power restoration. For any questions or concerns, residents can contact the OJRSA at (864) 972-3900.
