OMC felt the effects of the Bug

December was a month for widespread flu, which brought many suffering people to the emergency department at Oconee Medical Center. In addition, from there, many of those emergency visitors went straight to patient rooms in the hospital. The financial reports supplied to the Oconee Medical Center Board of Directors showed a positive bottom line of nearly $525,000 in December.  Since the start of the hospital’s accounting year on October 1, Oconee Medical Center ledgers reflect a positive margin of $1.7 million.
