Pay Fines at the OCPL with Food

Even after the holiday season has passed, there is still a need in our community, so the Oconee County Public Library (OCPL) is accepting canned items and non-perishable food items in lieu of certain fines, explains OCPL Director Blair Hinson. “You may bring in one item per dollar of fines you wish to have waived, up to a five dollar maximum. This does not apply to lost or damaged items. Items may be brought to any OCPL branch. Please no opened, unlabeled, or expired items.” Food for Fines at the OCPL runs until Saturday, Feb. 17.
