Pedestrian Dead After Early Morning Hit & Run

Update from SCHP:

Incident: South Carolina Highway Patrol is seeking information about a Hit and Run  collision in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.  The vehicle was possibly turning from SC-20 eastbound onto SC-8  eastbound towards Greenville County. The pedestrian was identified as 29 year-old Pelzer resident Brandon Strickland by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office. He died from injuries Tuesday afternoon. 

When: Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at approximately 3:15 AM

Where: Intersection of SC-20 and SC-8 Anderson County, South Carolina.  

At this time, investigators said they do not have any suspects, nor do they know the make and model of the suspect vehicle.

Part of Main Street/SC Hwy 8 in Pelzer was shut down near Hwy 20 this morning after an early morning hit and run. Troopers said that a pedestrian was injured at about 3:25 am this morning, when the incident happened in Anderson County.

Their condition is currently unknown.
