Pendleton Town Council Meets Tuesday

The Pendleton Town Council will meet for its regular monthly session this Tuesday, July 7th, at 7:00 p.m. inside Council Chambers at Town Hall. Key agenda items for the evening include the first reading of an ordinance that would effectively dissolve the local municipal court system by repealing Ordinance 80-09, which originally established the town’s court and its judicial personnel. Council members will also cast a final vote on an amendment to the fiscal year 2025/2026 town budget regarding legal and contractual matters, discuss infrastructure improvement options for the Village Hills Pump Station, and consider a first reading to rezone property at 610 Cherry Street from low-density to medium-density residential. Additionally, leaders will review proposed updates to the town’s social media and website policies before entering into an executive session to receive legal counsel regarding an ongoing civil lawsuit and discuss local board appointments.
