Phones and internet down at OJRSA

SENECA, S.C. – The Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority (OJRSA) has been without phone, email, and internet
service since Monday due to the damage caused by the EF3 tornado that struck the Seneca area during the early
morning hours of April 13. A representative with the agency’s communications provider stated that it “could be
several days” until the fiber optic system serving the facility can be repaired.
Sewer customers are being asked to contact their wastewater provider as listed on their water bill for sewer-related
emergencies. Septic tank issues should be directed to the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental
Control (DHEC) by calling 864-638-4185.
The OJRSA will not be able process permit applications, respond to information requests, or other typical functions
until the communications network has been restored.
