Pickens County Council Elects Leaders and Sets 2025 Agenda

Following the swearing in ceremony, Mr. Saitta was elected as chairman in a 5-1 vote, with Claiborne Linvill dissenting. Chris Lollis was unanimously chosen as vice-chairman, while newly elected Dale Holloway became vice chair pro tem by a 5-1 vote, with Linvill voting for herself. Chairman Saitta adjusted Committee of the Whole meeting times to align with council meetings at 6:30 p.m. and reappointed Lollis to the Alliance Pickens board, Bowers and Linvill to the Appalachian Council of Governments, and Saitta and Holloway to the GPATS committee.

A council retreat is scheduled for January 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the county administration building.
