Pickens County Secures $112K in FEMA Hazard Mitigation Funding

Pickens County is set to receive $112,500 for a multijurisdictional hazard mitigation plan update aimed at reducing the long-term risk of life and property loss from natural disasters. The funding is part of a broader, $21 million FEMA allocation announced for South Carolina to support 17 recovery and mitigation projects across communities still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, Hurricane Helene, Tropical Storm Debby, Hurricane Ian, and other major disasters.
