Pickens County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Two In Homicide Investigation

(Seneca, SC)———-The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in its investigation into a shooting death of a 16 year old. The body of Robert Tyler Butler was discovered on the side of the road along Saluda Dam Road last Saturday afternoon. An autopsy revealed that Butler died from a gunshot wound.
The Sheriff’s Office has arrested 18 year old Jalen G’Vonte Hines of Greenville and 19 year old Eric Silverio Mondragon on charges of Murder and Possession of a Weapon During Commission of a Violent Crime. Mondragon was located at a residence in Oconee County late last night.
According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred during a transaction of money for drugs in the city of Easley. The body of Butler was transported and deposited on the side of the road after the shooting.
The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office is continuing their investigation.
