Pickens County Sheriff’s Office Charges Pickens Man With Attempted Murder Charges In Shooting Incident

(Seneca, SC)———–The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Pickens man with one count each of Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime.

61 year old Terry Alton Moore was charged yesterday by detectives after an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred at a mobile home on Dublin Lane.

According to a release from Pickens County Chief Deputy Creed Hashe, deputies were dispatched around 9am yesterday morning to the residence due to reports of a gunshot victim.  Initial reports indicated that multiple adults were at the mobile home when a verbal dispute escalated to one person being shot in the leg with a single barrel shotgun.

As the investigation continued and evidence was gathered, it was determined that Moore shot a man who is unrelated to him but also lives in the home, according to the release.  The men were engaged in an argument involving other individuals in the home, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The 38 year old victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to recover from his injuries, according to the release.
