Pickens Man sentenced for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor

Thirteenth Circuit Solicitor Walt Wilkins states that 67-year-old Tony Calhoun Fulmer pled guilty on Feb. 21, to criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the second degree and sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree, and sentenced to 22 years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections by the Honorable Perry H. Gravely. Fulmer will have to serve at least 85% of the 22 year sentence before he becomes eligible for parole. Evidence presented at the plea hearing by Assistant Solicitor Brandi Batson Hinton established that between April 2016 and January 2017, Fulmer sexually assaulted the victim who was 15-years-old at the time on multiple occasions at his home in Pickens County. The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on Fulmer’s home and found he took explicit photos and video of the victim, which he saved to his laptop computer. The case was investigated by Michael Hendricks and Daniel Cochran of the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.
