Pilot grounded after Dog Attack

A lawsuit claims that a pilot who flies helicopters for the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is grounded after being attacked by a dog outside his front door. The lawsuit filed for Dan Suddeth in Oconee Common Pleas Court names as defendants two people who it claims owned the dog. It alleges Suddeth was attacked on March 23, outside his home on Falcons Drive in Walhalla, as he tried to stop the dog from attacking his dog. According to the lawsuit, Suddeth “suffered cosmetic, muscular, and orthopedic damage as the result of the attack” and has since been unable to fly due to concerns about numbness in his left hand. The complaint seeks damages of an unspecified amount and requests a jury trial.
