Psychologist says Teen’s rehabilitation Possible

A clinical psychologist says a teen charged with a fatal shooting at his old elementary school could be rehabilitated, but she doesn’t know how long that will take, reports The Associated Press. Dr. Danielle Atkinson says the teen talked about being sorry for the killings of his father and a first-grader at Townville Elementary School in September of 2016, but showed no outward signs of remorse. Atkinson testified Wednesday that the teen didn’t seem to understand the seriousness of what he did. She was speaking at a hearing to decide if the teen is to be tried as an adult or a juvenile in the killings.
