Public Input sought on Enhancements at OCPL

The Oconee County Public Library is seeking public input on what patrons desire their library staff to know and be able to explain. Last fall, the Oconee County Public Library was awarded a Library Services and Technology Grant by the South Carolina State Library to construct a program to enhance and improve the training that all library staff members receive. While the core of the new program will be based on 21st Century Skills identified by the Federal government’s Institute of Museum and Library Services, the consultant brought in to help craft this project also felt the community’s input would provide great insight into the skills and traits our library staff should possess to successfully respond to the library service needs of you and your family. Two opportunities to speak with consultant David Warren of Providence Associates will be made available at the Seneca Library on February 26 at 11am and 6pm. Appointments are not necessary.
