Public’s Help sought on larceny at Jet Commercial

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help regarding a larceny case that occurred at a business in the Seneca area.  Deputies responded to Jet Commercial on Wells Highway around 10am Tuesday morning to a reported grand larceny, explains Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt.  “According to investigators, an individual told the deputy who responded that Network Controls, which is based in Greer, kept an enclosed trailer at the location of Jet Commercial. The deputy was then told that an unknown subject had cut the lock off of the trailer and had stolen approximately $30,000 worth of fiber optics equipment, along with some miscellaneous hand tools.  Deputies are also expected to receive an inventory of the equipment that was reported stolen. According to security cameras that were located at the scene, a vehicle arrived on the property during the early morning hours of Sunday, June 16 around 2:43am, an individual was seen at the trailer around 3:21am, and the vehicle is seen leaving the property around 3:45am.” The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with any information regarding this grand larceny to call CrimeStoppers at 638-STOP or text in a tip at 274637.  You do not have to give your name and if you tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
