Raines presented FCA Heart of a Champion Award

Seneca High School senior, Dorian Raines has been presented with the Heart of a Champion Award from the Foothills Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  Kevin Padgett, Dorian’s basketball coach said, “Dorian is a special athlete that makes others around him better. He has all of the qualities that you want in one of your players. He is unselfish, a hard-worker, and dedicated.” FCA believes that for every student athlete to be successful in sports and in life, we must strive daily to uphold FCA’s four core values: integrity, service, teamwork and excellence.  FCA seeks to recognize a student athlete for being an impact student who strives to be and do their very best while holding to these core values. Coach Padgett added, “Dorian has all of the qualities I mentioned, but the quality that has inspired me is the way he overcame situations this year that were out of his control. Some days he experienced tough things, came to practice with a smile on his face, and was a leader on and off the floor. Dorian will be missed, I love that kid!” Dorian also plays football and Coach Wayne Green said, “Dorian is a great athlete with a winning personality and a team first attitude. He is an all-star in every sense of the word.”
