Residents learn about Local Businesses at Home, Health and Life Expo

For three hours Thursday afternoon, Upstate residents had the opportunity to learn about the local business community at the fifth annual Home, Health and Life Expo presented by 94.1 The Lake. A large crowd attended the expo at the Shaver Recreation Center in Seneca. Alicia Keys, Physicains Relations Director of Excel Rehab and Sports enjoyed meeting and talking with attendees. “Well, we were able to meet a lot of different people and tell them about Excel Rehab and Sports. We offer physical and occupational therapy at three locations in the Upstate; Seneca, Clemson and Easley. So, it was just great to come out and share with the community how we are able to get them better and that our mission is patient first.” Clemson Eye Clinical Director Lisa Moore was pleased with the expo and the opportunity to meet new patients. “It was great, lots of people coming through, lots of people asking questions and we saw new faces and some of our patients as well. So, it was great.” Emilie Duncan, Human Resource Director at Home Instead Senior Care said the expo provided a great venue to share their story. “The expo had a great turnout from the community. We talked with people about in home non-medical services and next steps for seniors that would like to stay in their homes as opposed to going into facilities.” Free wine tastings were also offered at the expo by Palmetto Spirits Manager David Moore and his staff. “We had a great time. Lots of people came out for the event. Everybody was super friendly and nice. We just told them that we are local and we can help with party planning or anything they need. So, it was a good event for us.” The free event featured over 70 leaders in healthcare, home remodeling, real estate, banking and more.
