Rice named new Environmental Services Officer

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announces that Corporal Tim Rice will be the new Environmental Services Officer.  He will be using prison labor in the future to help tackle the litter problem in Oconee County. “Corporal Rice will be utilizing prison labor on a consistent basis to pick-up litter,” says Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw. “I ask everyone to exercise caution as you drive through these areas. We plan to place signs along the road alerting drivers to the inmate litter detail ahead. Corporal Rice will also focus on the large trash dumping investigations and work closely with DHEC concerning any environmental issues.”
