Ride for Wellness this Saturday

The community is encouraged to be apart of the fourth annual Ride for Wellness presented by Excel Rehab and Sports and Chick-fil-A of Seneca this Saturday, Sept. 30. This event is geared towards enjoying the beautiful area in which we live, explains David Bright, Chief of Physical Therapy at Excel Rehab and Sports. “The purpose of this ride is to encourage people to get out in the community to recognize how beautiful of an area that they live in by getting on their bicycle and riding their bicycle. We’ve got a 20-mile ride, a 40-mile ride, and a 60-mile ride option. This is not a race and we always really want to emphasize that to people.” Bright tells how to register. “The goal of it is wellness and this is a free event. This is something that you can go on our Facebook page, Excel Rehab and Sports, and you can look at it under our events page. You can indicate that you are going. You can also look at a little page that we have down there and if you preregister through a link that we have you’ll get a free dry-fit t-shirt for that event and you’ll also get a free entree that Chick-fil-A is going to be providing for that event as well.” Money raised from the event will go to some worthy causes, adds Bright. “Any donations are going to go to the Clemson Free Clinic and they’re going to go to the Rosa Clark Medical Clinic in Seneca as well. So, any donations for this event are going to go towards those free medical clinics to be able to help support those is the community that aren’t able to afford and pay for their own care.” To learn more about the fourth annual Ride for Wellness on Saturday, Sept. 30, visit the Facebook page of Excel Rehab and Sports and click on events.
