Road Closures Due to Hurricane Helene

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is encouraging drivers to avoid travel as wind speeds associated with Tropical Storm Helene have caused downed trees and other debris in roadways. SCDOT crews will begin clearing roadways as it becomes safe to do so.
If you must travel, SCDOT asks that you use caution and report any downed trees or debris to us directly at 855-467-2378.
According to Oconee County Emergency Services, the following roads are listed as CLOSED TO TRAFFIC:
- Crystal Lake Rd. at the Spillway
- Roach Road in Westminster
- Whitewater Lake Rd. at the Dam
- MeGee Road in Salem
- Camp Rd. at the lake
- Pond Road
- Avondale Road at the creek
- The pond at Bauknight Rd is overflowing
- The pond at Lake Becky Road is overflowing
- Petty Road is blocked; Detour onto Keowee School Road to Clyde Crenshaw Road, then Right onto Frenge Branch Road and back onto Petty Road.
