Robertson named Principal of James M. Brown Elementary

James M. Brown Elementary School has a new principal.  At Monday night’s work session meeting, the Board of Trustees for the School District of Oconee County accepted the recommendation of Ashley Robertson as the new principal of James M. Brown Elementary.  The effective date of this appointment is July 1, 2013. Robertson will be replacing Michelle Grant.  She has 9 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. She is currently the assistant principal at Seneca Middle School. Robertson holds a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from Clemson University. “I am very excited for the opportunity to serve as principal of James M. Brown Elementary. I look forward to working with the students, teachers, parents, and community in order to provide the best educational experience possible. As I leave Seneca Middle School, I am sad to leave a terrific school with wonderful teachers, staff, students, and parents,” said Robertson.
