S.C. Rural Infrastructure Authority Approves Grants Assistance For 26 Communities, Including Grant Designated For Seneca Rail Park

(Seneca, SC)———————The S.C. Rural Infrastructure Authority announced recently in a press release that the Authority has approved grant assistance for 26 communities, totaling more than $12 million dollars. 

The grants, according to the release, will strengthen water, sewer and storm water infrastructure. In fiscal year 2019, 54 projects have been awarded, totaling $25.7 million dollars. 

Oconee County was awarded a grant in the amount of $500,000 for economic water and sewer infrastructure, which is designated for the Seneca Rail Park Industrial Site. The city of Pickens was awarded $320,000 for water line improvements. Easley Combined Utilities was awarded $500,000 for sewer system improvements.
