SC Foothills Heritage Fair opens Tonight

It’s opening night at the South Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary at a new location, the FARM Center on Sandifer Boulevard across from Ag Pro. Melinda Harbin, Secretary of the Fair Board of Directors, invites everyone to come experience what an old-fashioned agriculture fair is all about. “Well, this is opening night, its the most exciting night. Come out and see how everything has changed. We’re in our new location and it looks great. You can see some of the rides all the way up from Highway 11. We have a new ride, its a drop tower ride that you can see from a distance too and you have a great view of the mountains. Tonight we have the dog show in the 4H Tent. We have lots of kids activities, animals and livestock to see. So, come out and have a good time.” The South Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair is from 4-10pm with the carnival rides running from 5-11pm. Tonight is also Farm Bureau Farmer Appreciation Night with a dinner for local farmers at 6pm in the Main Tent.
