SC Lottery Official wins Industry’s Top Award

The South Carolina Education Lottery announces that Lynnette Crolley, Senior IT Coordinator, was honored with the lottery industry’s top award. Crolley accepted the 2018 Powers Award at a North American Association of State and Provincial Lottery’s ceremony held recently in Orlando, Florida. “I want to congratulate Lynnette on this well-deserved accolade,” said Hogan Brown, Executive Director of the South Carolina Education Lottery. “Lynnette was instrumental in guiding our agency as we transitioned to a new central gaming system completed earlier this year. She has generously given of her time and talents to make our Lottery better; without a doubt she represents the true meaning of this distinguished award.” The Powers Award is presented each year to exceptional individuals in the lottery industry whose critical thinking, creativity, intelligence and dedication to their trade have made a lasting impact. The award honors the late Edward J. Powers, the “Father of U.S. Lotteries,” who in his 25+ year career built the framework and set the standards for today’s lottery operations. Crolley has been employed with the South Carolina Education Lottery for 14 plus years. In that time she has served as Webmaster and Internal Operations Coordinator. In March 2017, Lynnette accepted the role of Senior IT Coordinator and assumed the project management duties associated with converting the Lottery’s central gaming system from one vendor to another. She quickly became the go-to person for all project communications, ensured deadlines were met and prompted change that ultimately improved business operations. “Lynnette’s knowledge, problem solving skill, superb temperament and leadership earned her recognition and respect throughout our organization,” Brown said. “We are all proud to see her hard work recognized on a national stage.”
