Scheurer Assumes Command as Chief of Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department

Dave Scheurer has officially become Chief of the Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department.

During a Friday night ceremony, Scheurer was welcomed as he accepted command from outgoing Chief Kevin Christenbury, the 10th chief in the department’s 63-year history, which has evolved from a volunteer fire station to a combination paid and volunteer model.

Expressing humility at the responsibility, the new chief introduced the department’s first six paid firefighters, set to begin work on Monday, while the event also recognized eight volunteers and six part-time volunteer firefighters for their service.
