Scholarship Season at SHS

With less than two months left in the current school year, area high school guidance offices are actively searching for student scholarships.  Seneca High School Guidance Director Karen Trammell explains.  “We have worked hard all year emphasizing scholarships to our seniors.  We send out a bulletin advertising all the scholarships available to them.  Our kids are doing a great job applying and receiving scholarships.  Last year, the Class of 2012 set our all time record with $10.5 million in scholarships.  Class of 2013 is getting close and they have a shot to beat that record.” All seniors in the School District of Oconee County are encouraged to speak to their guidance counselor about scholarship opportunities available to them to help pay for their post-secondary education.
