School District Of Oconee County And Community Partners to hose Hike for Hope this Saturday, September 28th

(Seneca, SC)—-The School District of Oconee County will be wrapping up a week’s worth of activities in recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month with a Hike For Hope this Saturday from 9am until 1pm at Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative.

Besides the Hike for Hope, there has also been three community events this week, which will culminate tonight with an event at 6pm at West-Oak Middle School.

Lisa Simmons from the School District of Oconee County said on a recent appearance on the Coffee Time program that the School District has been working with multiple community partners to acknowledge Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

Simmons says that the actual hike will begin at 10am and it will be a family friendly event with inflatables, food and face painting along with a resource fair.

Saturday’s Hike for Hope is open to the public and there is no registration fee. Donations will be accepted and the event will be held rain or shine.
