SCHP holding Recruitment Info Meetings around State

The South Carolina Highway Patrol announces that it is holding recruitment meetings around the state looking for qualified applicants to join its ranks. The department has numerous positions available for the next class in January 2014.  SCHP currently has a class in training that will graduate in December. The free programs will begin August 9 and will last from 5pm to 7pm at Highway Patrol headquarters in each area of the state. Recruiters will discuss qualifications, benefits, physical fitness standards and more. The dates will be August 9, Troop 1 at 1626 Shop Road in Columbia.  August 12, Troop 2 at 1801 Bypass 25 SE in Greenwood; August 14, Troop 3 at 33 Villa Road, Suite 200 in Greenville;  August 20, Troop 4 at 454 South Anderson Road, Suite 400 in Rock Hill;  August 23, Troop 5 at 3515 East Palmetto Street in Florence;  August 26, Troop 6 at 8740 North Park Boulevard in North Charleston;  August 28, Troop 7 at 1718 Charleston Highway in Orangeburg. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety includes the Highway Patrol, State Transport Police, Bureau of Protective Services, Office of Highway Safety and Justice Programs, Immigration Enforcement Unit and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Hall of Fame.  Its mission is to ensure public safety by protecting and serving the people of South Carolina and its visitors.
