SDOC Back-to-School and New Immunization Portal

The School District of Oconee County (SDOC) is set to welcome students back for the first day of school on Tuesday, August 5. According to SDOC Public Information Officer Jennifer Dodd, teachers and staff are eager to get the new school year underway.

Additionally, as of today, August 1, a new online portal is available to assist with school enrollment requirements. The South Carolina Department of Public Health (DPH) has launched a service on its Statewide Immunization Online Network (SIMON) where parents and legal guardians can download the official S.C. Certificate of Immunization (DPH Form 4024) for children in grades 5K through 12.

This innovation aims to provide a more convenient way for parents to obtain vaccination records from home, although those with children entering daycare must still get the form from a healthcare provider.
