SDOC recognizes Retirees

The 35th annual retirement dinner for the School District of Oconee County was held at the Lighthouse Restaurant Event Center in Seneca on Thursday.  Approximately 60 people attended the event including the School Board of Trustees, District Administrators and Principals.  This year, 35 retirees were honored for their years of dedicated service. Tabulating the total years of experience, these dedicated employees collectively had a total of 763 years of district experience. The guests enjoyed dinner followed by a program honoring the retirees.  Oconee County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mike Lucas addressed the audience and each principal came forward and shared special memories and qualities of each retiree. Additionally, each retiree was presented with an engraved clock in honor of their years of service.
