SDOC Students attend SC HOSA Competition

The Hamilton Career Center HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) student organization traveled with 11 students to Charleston on March 8-10 for the state competition. School District of Oconee County Public Information Officer Dr. Sharon Sanders said, “While there, the group competed with over 1,500 South Carolina HOSA students in events such as biomedical technology, nursing assistant, MRC, Health Lifestyles, Medical Math, Transcultural Health, Extemporaneous Writing, Chapter Reflections, Job Seeking Skills, and more. Several HCC students placed and will now proceed to the HOSA National Competition in June. Cadi Imbody and Madison Ranalli placed third in Medical Reserve Corps Partnership, Maddy MacLachlan placed third in Healthy Lifestyles, and Dansley Fricks placed third in Extemporaneous Writing. Grace Towe received a Full Excellence Rating and will also proceed to the HOSA National Competition with her HOSA Chapter Reflections Scrapbook.
