Search ends for Ivester

The search is over for 23-year-old Robert Andrew Ivester after he turned himself into Probation and Parole officials this morning in Walhalla.  The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has two-warrants on Ivester on forgery charges.  Probation and Parole officials also had warrants on him as well.  Ivester had threatened to harm himself and others, including on a college campus.  The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office notified college and university officials in Anderson and Pickens counties, as well as Toccoa, GA.  The Sheriff’s Office also relayed information about Ivester to local law enforcement in North and South Carolina, as well as Georgia. Along with Ivester, Cynthia Michelle Hammett turned herself in to Probation and Parole officials at the same time.  The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office has warrants on Hammett for forgery charges.  The Sheriff’s Office cancelled all alerts on Ivester this morning and notified the Oconee County School District that Ivester had turned himself in.
