Second Murder Suspect Arrested in Clemson Shooting Death

A second individual has been charged with murder in connection to a shooting that occurred at a Clemson apartment complex.

The suspect, 22-year-old Messiah Joaquile Woody of Honea Path, was arrested by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division agents and is being held at the Pickens County Jail. Woody is the second person to be charged in connection with the shooting.

The first suspect, 23-year-old Khalil Rahsaun Smith of Anderson, was previously arrested on charges of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and weapons offenses. Smith is currently being held in Anderson County on unrelated charges and will be transferred back to Pickens County once he posts bond for those offenses.

The shooting took place early Saturday morning at The Collective at Clemson apartments on Old Greenville Highway. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Logan Nathanial Markis Williams dead from a gunshot wound.
