Second Rec Complex Discussed for Westminster

About 100 residents turned up Tuesday night in Westminster at the Cleveland Recreation Center to hear about a concept design of what a second recreation complex might offer.

The city’s leaders gauged the public about investing in recreation enhancements, about a year after the council named a committee to plan the Hall Street Community Park complex, which, if developed would carry a price tag of about $40 million.

Westminster Administrator Kevin Bronson highlighted multiple state and federal grant opportunities (among them CDBGs, Rural Infrastructure grants, and new market tax credits). He said the new complex could add to the city’s recreation offerings, not to mention the economic benefits to the community…
