See the Vietnam Moving Wall in OC

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, don’t miss the Vietnam Moving Wall, which will be in Oconee County Nov. 9-13. The public is encouraged to see the Vietnam Moving Wall on the campus of Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative at the intersection of Highway 123 and 11, between Seneca and Westminster. You can view the wall on Thursday, Nov. 9, from 1pm-5pm, on Friday, Nov. 10, from 10am – 5pm, on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 10am-5pm, on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 10am-5pm, and on Monday, Nov. 13, from 10am-3pm. The Opening Cerimony will be Friday, Nov. 10, at 10am. American Pride will sing the “National Anthem” and “More Than A Name On A Wall”. In addition, American Pride will perform a concert at the Walhalla Civic Auditorium Friday evening at 7:30pm, with all of the great Americana and Nostalgic songs of the Country Music Hall of Fame Group the Legendary Statler Brothers. Veterans will be admitted free to the concert, but they need to contact the box office for details, by calling 864-638-5277. The concert is sponsored by Your Oconee County Government and Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative. The Closing Ceremony for the Vietnam Moving Wall is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 12, at 3pm.
