Seneca Basketball Completes Regular Season Sweep Of Liberty

 

(Seneca, SC)———————————–Last night at Bobcat Gym, Seneca completed a regular season sweep of Liberty.

In the women’s game, Anne Hamilton-Leroy scored eighteen points to lead the Lady Bobcats to a 68-25 win over the Lady Red Devils.  Kaliah Kendrick added seventeen points and Caroline Crowe scored in double figures as well with twelve points.  The Lady Bobcats are now 6-0 in conference play.

After the conclusion of the women’s game and before the beginning of the men’s game, Leroy was recognized as being the new all-time women’s basketball leading scorer in the history of Seneca High School.  Leroy broke the school record of 1,851 points last Friday in Seneca’s win at Pendleton.  Leroy was presented with a game ball at center court.

On the men’s side, E.J. Evett scored twenty-three points off the bench to help lead Seneca to a 57-34 win.  Joseph Goss added fourteen points at the Bobcats improved to 4-2 in conference play.

Seneca will return to action Friday night on the road at West-Oak.  Airtime Friday night here on 94.1 The Lake will be 5:45pm with the Oconee County Federal Savings and Loan pregame show.  The women’s game will tip off around 6pm with the men’s game to tip-off around 7:30pm.
