Seneca City Council Holds Regular Council Meeting; Almost 500 Individuals Combined Participate In City’s Half Marathon and 5K event

(Seneca, SC)————————Seneca City Council held their regular monthly meeting Tuesday night in Council Chambers at City Hall and before the meeting, new Seneca City Councilman Stuart Pohl was sworn into office after his win in a special City Council Election last Tuesday. 

During the meeting, several items were on the agenda, including several ordinances to either rezone, zone or annex pieces of property in the city and one to amend the City of Seneca Design Review Guidelines. 

Yesterday, Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander was a guest on the Coffee Time program yesterday and the Mayor believes that this kind of activity taking place is a signpost of economic activity in the city of Seneca. 

The Mayor says that over the last several years, the city has seen the transfer in ownership of several pieces of property in the city. The Mayor says that this is occurring not just in one part of the city but is occurring all over. 

Mayor Alexander also said yesterday that a combined 478 individuals participated in the Half-Marathon and 5K that took place this past Saturday. 16 states and one country were represented at the event, according to the Mayor.
